';Remanufacturered'; units are those returned to the store or recycled from the repair shops where they failed for some reason. In my experience they are less reliable and often have to be returned but I've only tried a couple of these. You might get lucky. I for one have dropped HP after having been a loyal customer for 20 years. Their customer service (based out of India) failed to support me on too many occasions. I use Canon printers now.

Remember, even if they give the printers away, you're still going to pay a small fortune for the ink over the lifetime of the printer. As we used to say in the olden days, they aren't selling razors, they're selling razor blades. What's the Difference between remanufactured hp printer ink and the normal one?
Ones Refilled!
Re manufactured means that it was sent back to the factory for some type of repair. The repair could have been big or something minor. You're taking chances with used equipment.
