have you allowed them to sit unused for an extended period of time (more than 1 month)? if this is the case then the cartridges are dry. You can run a couple print head cleanings to hopefully bring back the print quality. If you purchased a re manufactured or refilled cartridge they could dry in less time as the ink quality is not as good as the HP originals. You could also have a leak?
Try cleaning your print heads. Go into your printers properties and run through the tests it provides and see how things work out. If they are remanufactured cartridges their is a good chance they are duds.
